The Clinical Nutrition & Oncology Research Group in University College Cork are currently running a study funded by the Irish Cancer Society looking into the use of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) in cancer. They are hoping to hear from people who have had (or still have) cancer and the professionals who care for them. Importantly, they want to hear from people who do use CAM and those who do not, as well as professionals who support the use of CAM and those who do not support its use.
They are running two surveys (one for patients/survivors and one for health professionals) along with more in-depth interviews with a subgroup of those completing the survey. The study can be found at www.ucc.ie/en/oncamie.
