CPD, Learning & Resources
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the means by which podiatrists maintain and improve their knowledge, skills and competence, and develop the professional qualities required throughout their professional life.
CPD is an integral component in the continuing provision of safe and effective services for the benefit of service users. CPD requires engagement by podiatrists in a range of learning activities on an on-going basis and completion of 60 CPD credits in each 24-month cycle. 1 hour of activity = 1 CPD Point.
Active engagement in CPD is critical to ensuring that podiatrists continue to have the up to date knowledge and skills necessary to deliver a safe and effective service to patients.
